The Sustainable Living Centre provides average families with access to
affordable and practical skills, knowledge and information for sustainable
urban living. Waitakere City was declared an eco-city 10 years ago, and it
is hoped that the Centre will allow visitors to gain a better
understanding of what it means to be a resident of an eco-city, and their
role and some of the actions they can take to help realise this vision.
